The “Back Porch Garden” was developed to increase programs for the elders living within the Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing residences at Medford Leas. A wooden porch was constructed which is used as a stage for special events, garden classes, reading groups, bridge parties and many other activities.

Picnics, concerts, bar-b-ques, fashion shows, Easter Egg Hunts and many other programs occur within the roof top garden. The Back Porch Garden brings together all members of the continuing care retirement community. This nationally recognized garden has provided stimulating activities that help them stay connected to nature.
