The reconstruction of the outdoor garden on the pier along the Navesink River offered the opportunity to develop a new and more interactive garden with a putting green, shaded sitting areas and garden related amenities.

The setting for the garden provides a commanding view of the river. It is a place for people to gather, either are individuals or in groups. Events include movies on an outdoor screen, boating events and the Fourth of July fireworks displays. The apple trees in the garden provide food for the residents. A resident led garden club helps maintain the garden.
